This Website is a work in progress and a collaborative project that was made possible through the contributions of numerous individuals and institutions.  With the support of the Administration and Board of the Columbus Museum of Art we have spent the past two years working with teachers, Museum staff and generous donors to bring www.artandsocialissues.com into existence.

We wish to acknowledge the many teachers from Columbus Public Schools who helped create the thoughtful and challenging lesson plans contained on this site.  They include:
Eric East, David Fawcett, Michael Hicks, Sarah Thornburg, Shannon Tuzzi-Paletti, Theresa Weidenbusch, Doreen Uhas-Sauer as well as Howard Hoffman of Lexington Jr. & Sr, High in Lexington, Ohio.

We also thank all the many teachers from the state of Ohio who attended workshops and presentations and shared their responses to the Art & Social Issues program with us as well as the Docents of the Columbus Museum of Art who have pioneered our Art & Social Issues tours.

Grants from The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council were essential in making this Website possible.
